"Chapter 10": I was too smart for my own good. I could always argue
myself into doing the sexy, futuristic thing instead of being a nice,
mundane, nonaffiliated individual. Too smart to settle down, take a
job and watch TV after work, spend two weeks a year at the cottage and
go online to find movie listings. Too smart is too restless and no
happiness, ever, without that it's chased by obsessive maundering
moping about what comes next.

To-do list...
I mixed up my schedule today (actually iCal did which is why it's just been replaced with Google calendar) so I'm catching up an my 'to do' list. And that reminded me of this note written in my notebook early in August:
"A couple of girls just walked into Starbucks in Bundang. One of them is wearing a black t-shirt with writing in big, red caps that says, "Add me to your 'to do' list".
I wonder if she knows what it means?
This happens every now and then. English phrases or actions can be completely misinterpreted, or simply not thought about at all. It's like getting a Chinese tattoo and not really knowing what it says.
'Brian in Jeollanam-do', my favorite blogger in Korea, has a great post about this kind of thing here.

Fiat 500 – Ecodrive software

I just saw the Fiat EcoDrive website after stumbling across it. I like it.
I think it’s about time that car companies started looking at more creative ways to convince drivers to learn about their driving habits. It can be good for the drivers’ pockets, and for the environment as well. That said, it can also be good PR for the companies themselves in this eco-sensitive age.
This reminds me of the Nike + iPod idea where joggers could use their shoes (and some small technology) to keep track of, and manage, their running schedules, progress and music. This may be an idea that keeps growing...
Check out the video of the cute wee car and the friendly software here: Fiat EcoDrive.

Bike building
I'm sitting in a cafe watching a guy in a bike shop, just across from
where I'm sitting, attempting to assemble an absolute monstrosity of a
kids bike.
It truly is hideous, of epic proportions.
The bike is branded as a 'Dodge Hemi', with bright blue extra large
seat, a faux engine block fitted precariously onto the frame, and I
think a faux fuel tank is awaiting a moment of clarity before it is
bolted into its place.
I'll try and get a photo.

Printing
Yesterday I happened upon a great little exhibition in Insadong, here in Seoul. It was a collection of printed material by 8 artists.
Oh, and I finally met Annamatic. We frequent the same cafe. We chatted about printing.... Check out her stuff for sale at Etsy.
I had the pleasure of meeting Francis Van Maele and Antic Ham. We chatted only briefly so I'm heading back there tomorrow.
It's not often that I really enjoy an exhibition but this was vibrant and colourful and drew people in from the sidewalk. The artists were approachable and friendly, and the work was inspirational. And I love print.
